Mounir Gad works as a Director, M&A Advisory Services at LINK Silicon Valley.
Mr. Gad is a member of the Venture Capital & Private Equity Roundtable Association in Palo Alto, CA. He is also a member of TechWadi, an organization that connects entrepreneurs and Private Equity professionals from the Middle East and bridges the gap to Silicon Valley. Mounir also holds several board of director and advisory board-level seats with organizations such as the Venture Capital & Private Equity Association, Silicon Valley Chapter and can be seen presenting or attending across hundreds of industry events throughout the United States.
As an active member in the community, Mr. Gad serves as Director of the Kerosene Lamp Foundation; an organization funded by the National Basketball Association who partners with NBA athletes in holding basketball and educational camps in the Caribbean for underprivileged children. As a former student athlete and current voluntary coach and mentor at Archbishop Mitty High School, Mr. Gad is passionate about the accessibility of team sports and the positive impact on children and adolescents in preventing violence and enhancing self-esteem. He also works with some of the world's most recognized Mental Health professionals and as well as NBA, NFL, & NHL professional athletes advocating for mental health to help grow awareness and assist those who are in need of it in the Bay Area and across the globe.
Prior to joining LINK, Mr. Gad spent time at Avidbank where he was a Market Manager and Sr. Vice President heading up Private Equity and M&A buyout relationship and transactions, Crestline Investors, a $12.5 billion multi-fund strategy in Fort Worth, Texas, and more than 12 years at Silicon Valley Bank doing a variety of roles in and around the broader tech, acquisition, private equity ecosystem and landscape. Mounir Gad has also held roles at both UBS AG Investment Bank, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation of the USA, and Apple, Inc.
Mounir graduated with honors from Saint Mary’s College of California with degree in Honors Finance and Economics.
Mr. Gad enjoys spending time at his church active in his faith and fellowship at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church of Campbell Ca. In addition to that Mounir is an avid sports fan and player who enjoys meeting new people, spending quality time, giving back and helping others, surfing, running, reading, swimming, basketball and his favorite thing: being a father. Mr. Gad is widely recognized for his favorite thing to talk about or do: spend time with his family: His best friend and son, John Michael Gad, Sister Sabrina, Brother Joe, and parents Mary and Nagy Gad. Mr. Gad considers these family members his best friends and what he is most proud of. Mounir is an avid Bay Area Sports fan.
Mounir spends the vast majority of his time across the technology and private equity M&A landscape across Silicon Valley and the USA as a whole, and resides permanently with his son John Michael in Los Gatos, CA.
