This unique biobank asset contains hundreds of thousands of human saliva specimens stored in a state-of-the-art facility with fully audited and tested disaster recovery capabilities. The individual specimens are fully consented for biomedical research purposes and are accompanied by rich datasets, which in many cases include anonymized medical records and matched claims datasets. The specimen collection encompasses a range of different diagnoses across a diverse population.

The specimens were collected using OR-100/ORE-100 devices and processed in a top-class, fully compliant laboratory facility and are stored in 24/7 monitored Thermo Scientific freezers at -80 degrees Celsius. The capability to retrieve individual specimens has been successfully tested. The samples are suitable for a wide range of DNA or RNA assays, including metagenomic assays.
